One of the biggest problems golfers face is using equipment that does not fit them. Every golfer is different. Golfers are not all the same height, build, age, gender or ability. Your golfing profile is as unique as your fingerprint.
The big name golf brands can only provide you with mass produced "off the rack" clubs. They all have standard size grips, they all have shafts cut to the same standard length and they all have standard lofts and lies.
Many golf equipment manufacturers try to "custom fit" their mass produced clubs using simplistic charts and measuring devices. They miss the mark. At Made 2 Measure Golf we understand that proper fitting is an in-depth process involving much more than matching one or two physical measurements to a pre-made golf club. Our proven Custom Fitting Wizard involves a comprehensive assessment of your physical attributes and your current golf game. In this way we can determine the optimum specifications for your new set of clubs. After your fitting, a handcrafted set of clubs will be built specifically for you.
How can you be expected to play to your true potential when you are playing with equipment that does not suit you? Have you ever considered that some of the bad shots you play may not be your fault?
Remember: "You didn't come off an assembly line. Why settle for clubs that do?"
The heads we use are manufactured to the same high standards and precision, using the same materials as the equipment used by the more well known brands. All the technology is there, whether you need cavity backs, perimeter weighting, low profile, progressive, low centre of gravity or the more traditional blades, we can help you find the perfect solution to suit your swing.
The shaft is at the core of golf club fitting. If this part is wrong, then you will always be fighting an up hill battle. The shaft is the only dynamic part of the golf club. Neither the grip nor the club head change shape during the golf swing. The shaft on the other hand changes shape in various ways and at different points in the swing. This is without a doubt, the most important factor when custom fitting golf clubs. No other golf components has as much influence on the directions of your golf shot than the shaft.
Recent surveys have shown that 35% of all golfers are using grips that are either too large or too small for them. There is no doubt that an incorrect grip size can play havoc with your swing. A grip that is too small will increase hand activity, which tends to result in a pull or a hook, while a grip that is too big will slow the hands through the ball, opening the clubface, which leads to a slice or a fade.
The grip is the only contact you have with the club, so it's absolutely vital to get it right.
When we have determined the components that will suit you best and you are happy with our recommendations, we will start to build your clubs to the highest standards. This could take up to a week to complete, but you can be sure that it will be worth the wait. Once you have been fitted, we have your "golfing fingerprint" and we can make up any other clubs you might need without further consultation.
